The main frame of reference for this body of work is contemporary culture portrayed through the language, history and context of ceramics. By feeding off what appears to be a peculiarly British phenomenon: the social issues relating to ‘binge drinking’, particularly those involving young women a dialogue of associations emerged. This narrative has
a subversive satirist edge playing on contemporary vernacular language and observations whilst highlighting our increasingly dependent relationship with this popular drug.
